DARK DOG Pro Elisa Serramia
Born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1984, Elisa has been playing golf since the age of five. This sport has quickly taken a front seat in her life, becoming her lifelong passion. A true child star, Elisa won her first championship in 1998. Her triumph caught the attention of the Catalan Federation of Golf that promptly offered her an EAGLE scholarship and the opportunity to train at the high performance centre of Sant Cugat, Barcelona.
Elisa turned pro on the 24th November 2004, after achieving status and getting experience in the amateur golf circuit.
Elisa had a solid start in her professional career, playing in 17 events with her best finish T7 at the Samsung Ladies Masters in Singapore. Elisa was also named Rookie of the Year 2005 at the Ryder Cup Wales, becoming the first Spanish female golfer ever to achieve this title.
In 2006, she played in 19 events, improving her ranking of the previous year a lot, as well as finishing the second season on the 32nd position in the New Star Money List. She got two top tens and a further three top-twenty. Her best was T3 in the BMW Ladies Italian Open. Off the tournament circuit, Elisa won a hole-in-one competition during the KLM Ladies Open.
In 2007, Elisa competed in all the LET competitions to date, representing her sponsors in South Africa to Australia. The 2008 season was characterized by intensive training and preparation for the upcoming season. Elisa qualified for the Duramed FUTURES Tour 2009 and came 12th from 320 players that participated. Additionally, she finished the qualifying for the Ladies European Tournament 2009 with a 7th position from over 100 players before famous Paraguayan player Julieta Granada.
During the season 2009, Elisa could state another fantastic milestone in her career: the first-year Duramed FUTURES Tour player claimed her first Tour victory at the $100,000 Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship in the USA. Elisa played an extremely strong course and finished the Duramed season 2009 with a superb 19th position of over 300 players taking part!
