In 2008 along with Team Alstare Suzuki, DARK DOG continued enjoying great success, sponsoring the Belgium rider Xavier Simeon at the Superstock 1000. This series is a support category of Superbike World Championship at the European rounds. Motorbikes with the same set-up as the ones of Superbike series can run Superstock 1000. However, there is more restrictive rules because most bike components cannot be modified. The series is open to riders up to 24 years old. Xavier Simeon has proved his potential right from the very beginning.
For the Belgium rider, motorsport has always been important because his father was a former GP and endurance rider. Xavi started riding with nine years old at the Belgian Pocket Bike Championship. He took part in several series as for example the Spanish Aprilia 70 cc Cup. From then on, he made an important move in the Superstock 600. The DARK DOG rider had been racing successfully two seasons along with Team Alstare and in 2007 and 2008 he continued in Superstock 1000 European Championship, a much more competitive championship.
He finished 2008 season with an amazing first place, winning the junior category of the European Superstock 1000 Championship 2008!
